Lego Digital Camera – Combine Lego & Photography!

lego-digital-camera-frontIt’s that time of year where everywhere you look there’s another ‘great’ Christmas gift idea, but as far as I’m concerned this is definitely one of the best ones I’ve seen year: something that can combine two of the great things in this world liked by the men and children in the family, and some women too I imagine! Yes, Lego and digital camera photography.

So do you really need to buy a Lego Digital Camera? Admittedly if you had too much spare time, a spare digital camera, and you were good with electronics you could probably make one of these at home and save most of the £59.99 price tag, but for those less gifted this is great present for both real and overgrown kids!

Admittedly the camera isn’t really up to much in terms of specs with just 3 megapixels, 4x digital zoom and a relatively small 128MD capacity capable of holding about 80 photos which you can look through on the 1.5” LCD screen – it also obviously has USB connectivity so you can get the photos of the camera.

But making high quality photos isn’t really the point: it’s the fact that it’s a camera you can really play with! Unfortunately you can’t take the camera and rebuild it (which is probably a good idea as it means it won’t just fall apart!), but the top and bottom are correctly moulded to be integrated with other Lego bricks allowing you to integrate it into your next epic building or make artistic additions to the camera!

So that’s the Lego camera, which I have to say has sparked my imagination (and the incessant need to play with Lego!) and if anyone is planning to get me anything this year, here’s a less-than-subtle hint!

Finally it’s worth adding that not only do you get a Lego Digital Camera, but it also comes with three Lego bricks. No more, no less: three! I’m not quite sure what the point of this is (as for the life of I can’t think of any benefit to having just three bricks) but there you go, don’t say Lego don’t give you value for money!

WOW!!! I’m always happily supprised when I see new Lego creations and this one is utterly fantastic! It looks like its been taken straight out of James Mays Lego house! Great find, I missed that one when I was doing my Christmas Shopping at IWOOT!
