Joost – Invites Available to Try Out the Beta Online TV Service

Over the last few weeks there’s been quite a lot of talk on the Internet about Joost, so in case you haven’t heard about it and tried it yet, I thought I’d just cover the basics of it here.

As you can see from the advert below, Joost combines the best of TV and the Internet. It gives you the ability to watch high quality, full-screen TV shows through your internet connection – I was rather impressed with how good the quality of the picture is when played on my HDTV using a HTPC!

There are no TV schedules to live by, simply load up the Joost application and choose what you want to watch when it’s convenient to you!

It also combines the convenience and interactivity of the Internet into it’s service by offering features such as searching, chat and instant messaging. Best of all, this whole service is provided free of charge! All you need is a broadband internet connection.

The service is currently in it’s Beta stage which means that to access Joost and have a go for yourself, you’ll need an invite from an existing member. I’ve got unused invites on my Joost account, so if you’d like me to send you one, then please let me know by leaving a comment below.
