It’s here!! It’s finally here!! The trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is now up and running and it looks superb.
In case you’re not aware, there’s a young wizard called Harry Potter and a very bad man called Lord Voldemort, and it’s all about to hit the fan!
The Deathly Hallows is the final book in the phenomenon that is Harry Potter, and I’m so glad that they’ve split the book into two films otherwise there would be far too much that would have to be cut out of the film, and that would have annoyed the hell out of me. All being well both parts will be over the 2 and a half hour mark as to give the fans the best Harry Potter film(s) yet.
The Deathly Hallows will be shown in IMAX 3D, RealD 3D and in normal 2D, but I definitely have to see this in 3D. The trailer looks incredibly dark and I’ve read a few reports saying that the BBFC are having trouble giving the film a certificate.
I’d love it to get a 15-rating as that would mean it would be incredibly dark, but there’s no way that will happen as the film wouldn’t make as much money, so expect this to be a 12A, but hopefully it won’t suffer from this. You never know though, the Blu-Ray edition could have a 15 release which would be better.
David Yates is again directing and after The Order of the Phoenix and The Half Blood Prince, I’m hoping he’ll not disappoint. I enjoyed the last two films, but for me, there was too much left out of them both, especially Order of the Phoenix which is the longest book, but the shortest film. But that’s just splitting hairs, they were still great films. But all being well, this is going to be the Harry Potter film we’ve all been waiting for and some.
Part 1 is due out this November, with Part 2 set for release in July 2011.

UPDATE: This movie has now been rated and given a 12A certificate for its UK release date of 19th November 2010.

Consider me excited!
