GTA 4 Coming To The PC!Written by Simon Barker on August 11, 2008 · Filed under Games
Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 4 will be released on the PC!
The release date for North America is 18th November, while us Europeans will have to wait an extra 3 days for it to arrive on the 3rd December 2008. I don’t mind, I’ve waited since April to hear this, so a few more days is nothing!
You might remember me mentioning in my post about digital gaming distribution that I actually managed to buy GTA 4 on the Xbox 360 a few days after release – it was quite task to do that even!
However, since buying it, I’ve tried playing it a few times on the Xbox 360, but have all but given up on it, don’t get me wrong, it’s a great looking game and I really *want* to play it, but the control system using a (cheap) wireless Xbox 360 controller just feels far too unnatural for me when I’ve played the last three GTA games with a mouse and keyboard on the PC.
In the past, the graphics have always been a big improvement over the console version, so with high definition gaming now with us, I thought that I’d be happy playing on the sofa in front of a large screen hi def TV – apparently not! Ultimately it’s the good old trusty PC control system that I need to fully enjoy GTA 4!
I look forward to the PC version of GTA 4 arriving on my doorstep on the 3rd December, until then I think I’ll sell the Xbox 360 version to fund my GTA 4 PC pre-order!
Are you someone like me who prefers the PC version of this or any other games?
