GTA 4 - PC!
Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 4 will be released on the PC!
The release date for North America is 18th November, while us Europeans will have to wait an extra 3 days for it to arrive on the 3rd December 2008. I don’t mind, I’ve waited since April to hear this, so a few more days is nothing!
You might remember me mentioning in my post about digital gaming distribution that I actually managed to buy GTA 4 on the Xbox 360 a few days after release - it was quite task to do that even!
However, since buying it, I’ve tried playing it a few times on the Xbox 360, but have all but given up on it, don’t get me wrong, it’s a great looking game and I really *want* to play it, but the control system using a (cheap) wireless Xbox 360 controller just feels far too unnatural for me when I’ve played the last three GTA games with a mouse and keyboard on the PC.
In the past, the graphics have always been a big improvement over the console version, so with high definition gaming now with us, I thought that I’d be happy playing on the sofa in front of a large screen hi def TV - apparently not! Ultimately it’s the good old trusty PC control system that I need to fully enjoy GTA 4!
I look forward to the PC version of GTA 4 arriving on my doorstep on the 3rd December, until then I think I’ll sell the Xbox 360 version to fund my GTA 4 PC pre-order!
Are you someone like me who prefers the PC version of this or any other games?

When it comes to first person shooters, totally. I bought Gears of War for Xbox 360 and I just can’t get anywhere. It’s a nightmare. Keyboard and mouse all the way!
But on the GTA4 front.. I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I felt the same way as you, but it didn’t take long to get the hang of it. Since it has auto-aim / targeting, it’s not really a big deal.
Long live PC,down with the consoles.
Finally gta 4 is on the pc i knew they would they did the same sandreas and that came out on pc. Can’t wait!
Hay guys, do you know where can i buy the GTA 4 PC Beta version
Of course this is exciting news. Any true gamer and Gta franchise lover will be thrilled. But… Let’s consider some system requirements until they’re revealed to us. If you’re gonna buy the game, you may have to consider a better graphics card if you don’t already have one that more or less gaurantees it will take care of anything that’s thrown at you this year. To me, as long as GTA4 doesn’t surpass the requirements for “Crysis”, I should be fine. Until then, I await like an impatient lion waiting to pounce on that antheloupe that’s been teasing me. “Meat, Meat, Meat!!!”. GO GTA4!!!!!
HELLO
GTA4 on pc is better and on xbox 360 is not too nice because the xbox 360 controllers are not nice pc keyboard mouse
Yea, its so true,i think xbox are made for sport games, i cant imagine playing a FPS on it and even GTA. Keyboard and mouse give you full controll, for me its almost like an extention of my body!
