Ghostbusters: The Video Game Trailer

With the highly anticipated release of the Ghostbusters game almost upon us, I thought it would be good to spread the wealth.
The game is set to be released on 19th June 2009 on all main gaming platforms this year after a few speed bumps which almost destroyed the game from ever coming out. Thank you Atari!!
The game has been written by Harold Ramis and Dan Ackroyd who wrote the original Ghostbusters films. Judging from what I’ve seen of the countless trailers, they haven’t just flung a random script together, it actually seems to be a really good story, could this story effectively be the much fabled Ghostbusters 3 movie?
The story, in a nutshell, is that the Ghost World is crossing over with the real world and ghosts old and new are appearing, and of course, only the Ghostbusters can do anything about it.
The voices are all done by the original cast with a whole new script and there’s a nice bit in one of the trailers, which you can see below, where Ray Stanz (voice by Dan Ackroyd), says the line “It’s wasn’t me this time I swear” upon seeing the Stay Puft Marshmallow man return.
It’s moments like this that lead me to believe that it’s not only going to be the gameplay that could make this a classic, but also the FMV’s inbetween the ghostbusting action!!
Are you going to be buying the potential classic of the Ghostbusters Video Game? Or do you think this is one too many outings for the Ghostbusters?
Let us know your views. I for one, can’t wait!

Is any of that actual gameplay footage though? I’m hoping it’s gonna rock but I’m going to reserve judgement for now I think!
A good question! I believe it is…well I hope it is!
Potentially such a good game, especially given they’ve already held it back to make it better….*fingers crossed*
