Ghostbusters – North American Xbox 360 Version Not Region Locked?

Xbox 360 and Ghostbusters fans rejoice!

In a previous post, I mentioned that Ghostbusters: The Video Game was going to be delayed on the Xbox 360 and released exclusively on PS3 to coincide with the release of the original Ghostbusters film on Blu-Ray, and that other formats would have to wait till the back end of the year.

I received death threats, bags of rubbish on my door…and well, the rest I can’t say!!

But thankfully, it now looks like European gamers have a glimmer of hope! The US Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game is going to be region free and has the release date of the 16th June 2009!!!

So that now means that you don’t have to wait till the end of the year like Wii fans do, just hop on over to Amazon.com and get it shipped over from the US of A! (though I’d wait until after the release date, just to make sure!)

So all of you Xbox 360 fans who are thinking of marching to Sony with fire and pitchforks, you now have your two fingers to stick up at Sony.

I think Busting is definitely going to be feeling good for a lot more people than expected this summer!!
