Football Manager 2008 Demo
I recently wrote about a PC game bargain, the new Football Manager 2008 game for £17.99, which is the latest evolution of a great game over a decade in the making and refining of - I didn’t get to play the 2007 version much at all (despite it being sat on my game-shelf all year), but am planning on having a return to form with this, the 2008 incarnation.
If you haven’t already got your Football Manager 2008 pre-orders placed, now you can play the demo that has been released today to help you make up your mind - as if any true football fan needed to even play a demo of these games before committing to a game purchase!
Sega have released various versions of the Football Manager 2008 demo for both PC and Mac, you can download these from the following link:

I’d very much appreciate hearing your thoughts of the demo, especially given I didn’t get to play much of the 2007 version, how do things compare? What put me off was the way that you seemed to have to invest huge amounts of time in tactics to be successful, only to have them countered within a couple of seasons of play, is this still the case since I’m no longer a student and don’t have the ‘time’ to invest in that?

What is the diference from the Football Manager 2007? The graphic is realy good, maybe is better. But I didn’t pay £20 for the 2008 version. I am still having fun with the 2007 version. Maybe I will buy the 2008 version in 2009 or 2010 so I will pay less than half of the price !

It’s like most new versions of Football Manager, it’s a good game already, so there’s nothing usually revolutionary in terms of changes, just more an evolution or refinement of the existing game.
