Deus Ex: Human Revolution Trailer Released

It’s been a while since Deus Ex was first released. 11 years in fact, and I never actually played the original but I did hear that it’s quite an impressive game. Well now the long awaited action-RPG sequel is upon us which has pricked up my ears and made me pay attention. Just see what we thought of it when we were at E3 2011 in our Day 2 review.
From what I’ve seen of Deus Ex: Human Revolution so far, I’ve been quite impressed and I’m looking forward to seeing some more of the gameplay footage. The story follows an ex-SWAT specialist named Adam Jensen in the year 2027 who is hired to defend a biotech firm in America. Jensen is then badly injured during an attack on the biotech facility and is augmented with cybernetic technology against his will. Jensen then travels the globe trying to unravel to truth to a major conspiracy and not knowing who to trust.
Throughout the game, players will be able to choose their own path with their choices echoing throughout the game, and will affect how the story plays out which is a similar style to Mass Effect, and we all know how good that little chestnut turned out to be.
Now this may seem a little far fetched to some, but the cybernetics involved in the game really interest me as it’s something that is happening in our world today, albeit in the very early stages. We’re now able to give robotic hands to people which can be attached to their nerves, so could we be seeing part of what our future will look like? Obviously it’ll be an exaggerated version in the game, but still, it’s pretty intriguing.
Enough of my rambling, check out the trailer for yourselves down yonder. The soundtrack in the trailer sounds like it’s part of one of the Tron movies and really adds to the futuristic nature of the game. Not to mention the game itself looks impressive.
What do you think? Something that interests you? Did you play the original and can’t wait to get your hands on Human Revolution? Whatever your thoughts, leave your comments below.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be available from 26th August 2011 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
