World of Warcraft Video - 500 Miles
May 2, 2007
World of Warcraft has another video, here in the UK we’ve recently had an updated Comic Relief version of the Proclaimer’s classic song ‘500 Miles’ with Peter Kay and the Little Britain guys.
Why not take a look at an alternative music video created by some World of Warcraft players? It’s almost worth going 500 miles for…well maybe!

April 25, 2007
A little while ago I showed you a video that was made in the online game World of Warcraft that explained why the Internet is great.
Following up on that I’ve now found another one, it’s a song simply called ‘Beer’ and is set to the music of the Italian National Anthem (I think). Hail to the Ale!

April 24, 2007
No I’m not talking plastic surgery here, but about there being several webpages that allow you to upload a picture of yourself and then do something clever with it, such as My Heritage - Face Recognition that tells you which celebrity you (supposedly) look like.

April 22, 2007
Google Maps is a website that you can use to get maps and satellite imagery of anywhere in the world, one of the main features includes giving you step-by-step directions from A to B.
I’ve seen this in a few places on the Internet so far, but thought it was worthy of mention here in case you hadn’t seen it yet.
Normally you get some pretty accurate directions from using this Google product, however if you follow the steps below, you’ll see it would appear that someone at Google who has a sense of humour is checking you’re paying attention!

April 13, 2007
I saw these USB Humping Dogs a while back when they were first released, these were for entertainment value only and would “go at it” as soon as you plugged them into your USB port. However then I saw this post over at OhGizmo - now somebody has obviously had plenty of time on their hands (that’s not a criticism, sometimes these things just have to be done!) and they’ve modified this little doggy.

April 10, 2007
When you work in an office (such as I do) where there’s an ample supply of Post-It notes, it encourages you to make use of them - hence why my desk always seems so littered by them…did I say littered?…I meant organised with them! However, there are people, there are ‘observers’ who can be critical of their usage as a means of recording my to-do tasks and such, they will criticise, they make fun, they will pour scorn on you, however they are mistaken!

I often see those Dummies books for all sorts of things these days, whether it’s in shops or perhaps more worryingly in the IT dept at work! If you think you could produce a better version, well now here’s your chance to create your very own For Dummies Generator book cover!
Just go along to Txt2Pic.com and enter your own customisation and then save the picture and use it however you wish…

April 5, 2007
What with the upcoming superhero movies of ‘Spiderman 3′ and the ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’ combined with the fact I’m currently working my way through the ‘Heroes’ TV show (which I recently wrote about here), when I came across this the other day, I thought it was rather apt!
Why not take the Superhero Quiz and find out which ones best fit your personality?

April 3, 2007
One of the classic movies I remember from my childhood in the 80’s has to be The Karate Kid films, but it’s one of those things where with the exception of Elisabeth Shue, you’ve never really seen anything of them since then.
That’s why I found this music video from a band called “No More Kings” good to see, it’s called “Sweep the Leg” and it’s got all the familiar faces from the Cobra Kai dojo in it as well as the Karate Kid himself! - Interesting to see how they all look around 20 years on!
