Canon X Mark I Calculator / Numeric Keypad Wireless Mouse!

Canon seem to have read my mind with their latest venture into the world of the input device: I simply cannot remember the number of times that I have despaired at the fact that the number-pad and line of numbers on my keyboard, and two calculators that are on my desk are not enough and that I just wished I had another way to add and multiply numbers.
I lie, I can remember the number. Zero.
However for those of you that are in need of frequent instant access to a calculator (but for some reason dislike the one available for free on your computer) Canon have come up with a solution: The Canon X MARK 1 MOUSE which as you can see is not just any mouse… it’s a calculator mouse!
Ok perhaps that level of sarcasm wasn’t really needed as it is in fact not that bad a product: the mouse itself is a standard ‘three click button and scroll wheel’ affair with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and a 1,200 dpi sensor which so long as you don’t intend to take up gaming is more than enough, but if you are you’re probably better looking at the Gigabyte GM M6880 Gaming Mouse or even the World of Warcraft Mouse.
Obviously the main selling point is the large (and fortunately lockable) calculator display which can not only act as a calculator which connected and freestanding, but it can also double as a numeric keypad for your computer which I feel is probably it’s best use along with laptops/netbooks/keyboards that don’t already have this on.
Of course for most of us this will be a bit of a novelty, but if you are the kind of person that needs to do quick calculations, or who simply likes the option to be able to do so you will be glad to know that you will only have to wait until November for the Canon Calculator / Numeric Keypad Mouse to be released at the not-too-steep price of £39.99. Of course that is £39.99 more expensive than the calculator that comes on your Windows or OS X system, but that’s not really as fun is it?
While this be going onto your Christmas list this year? Would you prefer to get your hands on the Apple ‘Magic’ Mouse instead? Or what other novelty mouse would you have your eye on instead?
