Bourne’s Back 4 More!

It has been officially announced that there will be a fourth Bourne film. Universal have given the green light for the amazingly popular espionage action trilogy to go ahead and make a fresh story.

The story is going to be written from scratch by George Nolfi who was the writer behind Bourne Ultimatum. So this new story won’t have anything to do with Robert Ludlums stories of Bourne or the later novels written by Eric Van Lustbader.

A release date has been pencilled in for some time in 2010, but don’t get too excited yet, because they script has been finished yet.

But the good news is that Matt Damon will be back to play Jason Bourne with Paul Greengrass back in the directors seat.

As you might have read from my Bourne Conspiracy review, I’m a big fan of the Bourne films and would welcome another (but I do hope this is that last) film to add to the collection.

Obviously the main reason they are making a fourth is because they took over $400 million with Ultimatum, so lets just hope they don’t drive the story into the ground and destroy what they’ve created.
