@pmpmag – Toshiba are the actual backers and creators of HD-DVD and they have made the announcement that HD-DVD is no longer going to be used. I’m going post more about this in the next couple of days, the HD disc media of the immediate future is now Bluray.

Why do you think the war is over? Warner Bros is just one of the publishers. And there is plenty of HD-DVD devices in stores yet. Anyway in all such wars only customers loose
