GadgetShop - All Gadgets VAT-Free (15% off)
December 17, 2008
That’s right folks, the GadgetShop currently have a great promotion on where they have reduced all the prices of their hi-tech gadgets by the amount equal to VAT on them, that’s a 15% reduction in prices ahead of Christmas to you and me!
I’ve always remembered visiting the original GadgetShop stores when they first appeared here in the UK, it was a great experience to not only see these gadgets, but also to see them working and sometimes even have a play with them yourself. Definitely one of the highlights of my visits to the Trafford Centre!

December 17, 2008
It’s not long since the Lost season 5 trailer was released which gave us some quick flashes of hints as to what direction the penultimate season of this infamously mysterious TV show, however you can now watch an extended Lost season 5 preview of a conversation that takes place between Jack and Ben about the island and John Locke.
Given that the running time is around 1 min 42 seconds, it’s the kind of snippet teaser that we desperately want to see, but at the same time, absolutely hate once we come to the end of the 102 second clip of this Lost season 5 preview.

December 16, 2008
It’s been a while since my last round-up of some of the sites and pages that I’ve visited recently while journeying round the Internet, so hope you like some or all of these places that I’ve been with the Path of Zath.
- We all like Google’s special logos they have up on their search engine frontpage on special days, they even inspired us at here at Zath to have our own Christmas Zath logo, you can take a look at all Google’s past holiday logos! Continue reading »
Basic Mobile Phone?
December 15, 2008
Do you get asked about which basic mobile phone people should get? Why do people want a basic mobile phone? Most people these days are always chasing the latest and greatest in terms of technological advances, especially on their mobile phones, however I think a lot of the mobile phone manufacturers are potentially missing a substantial market altogether.
If you’re anything like me and particularly around Christmas, people come up to you asking which simple, basic mobile phone would be best to buy for their older relatives, be it their parents/grandparents who might only require a mobile phone as a means to contact them in an emergency.

December 14, 2008
We’re big fans of Mario Kart here at Zath, so when I saw this great video, I just had to share with you all!
When I get chance, I do like to play a racing game, now I normally have to be content with playing Sega Rally, Burnout, Mario Kart DS or Mario Kart on the Wii, but this guy has taken his racing to a whole new level in a definite Mario style!

December 10, 2008
I’ve spoken about Viigo: Project Tango a few times now, in case you’re not aware of it, it’s a great little application that you can download and install for free onto your Blackberry or Windows Mobile smartphone and provides you with a host of information and media all on the one application platform.
I’ve currently got this running on my HTC Tytn II mobile phone and use it primarily as a mobile phone news reader as I find it a very useful way of checking RSS feeds. However, this clever little application has developed beyond just that kind and now has lots of other features, such as even downloading audio podcasts should I want to listen to something to stop me from getting bored on long train journeys.

December 8, 2008
I seem to be on a real R2D2 theme in the last week what with the R2D2 projection alarm clock and now this R2D2 USB Hub, perhaps it’s because I’m watching the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon on TV and the last couple of episodes have been about everyone’s favourite little droid!
Functionally this is the same kind of thing as the Transformers All Spark Cube USB Hub I recently wrote about, in that it plugs into one of your USB sockets and then allows you to plug in up to 4 USB devices into it which is especially useful if you’ve run out of USB sockets on your computer and don’t want the hassle of opening your computer to add further sockets.

December 7, 2008
Well I think it’s fair to say that the festive season has well and truly arrived here at Zath HQ - hopefully you’ll have noticed that we’ve got our LED Christmas tree and decorations put up in our logo at the top of the page.
Watch out in the coming weeks for special Christmas Zath competition coming your way - more news on that as soon as I get things finalised!
What added to the Christmas atmosphere even more was that last Thursday was the first time in years that they’d been enough snow to prevent us getting to work to our day-jobs - so I used the ’snow day’ to get a few things done round the house and also got some work here on the website.

December 6, 2008
To coincide with the recent release of the second World of Warcraft expansion pack - The Wrath of the Lich King (which incidentally it is now officially the fastest selling PC game ever), Blizzard have done a couple of new adverts showing another two celebrities talking about WoW.
Apparently the celebrities who feature in these adverts are actually celebrities who play World of Warcraft…I’m not sure to what extent that is actually true, perhaps they only had to be sat down in front of a computer and get to level 2 to qualify for that statement, or perhaps I’m just being cynical!
Happy Birthday Gaj-It.com!
December 5, 2008
The UK gadget site, Gaj-It.com is celebrating the fact that it’s now been going for two years – quite an accomplishment for any blogging website - well done guys! I first became aware of them after I met them at the LG Secret launch event and have been a fan of their’s ever since.
If you’ve not seen their UK Gadget site, which has recently had a design makeover, then be sure to take look!
