iphone-4-front-side-viewHave you been struggling with iOS 4 on your iPhone 3G? Your struggle may now be over, as Apple have just released iOS 4.1 for the iPhone, with plenty of bug fixes, as well as some new features too.

What’s new? Well there’s quite a few cool features for a minor upgrade.

High Dynamic Range Photos

If you’ve been struggling with over exposed or under exposed photos when taking pictures with your iPhone 4, HDR will help you out and get the best shot possible.

How does it do this? Well when you take a photo, it takes three different versions, one under exposed, regularly exposed, and over exposed. Then, it actually combines the three photos that it just took to give you the perfect photo! It’s looks like an interesting feature, and should make taking photos a little easier on your phone in the future.

Game Center

Game Center is also making its debut for iPhone in iOS 4.1. With all the games available on the store right now, it makes sense for Apple to have this feature. It introduces a more social gaming experience, as well as things such as achievements. Think of it as Xbox Live for iPhone.

HD Video Upload Over Wi-Fi

With the iPhone 4 being able to capture HD video content with its rear camera, being able to upload it to the net is a must. Up until now this hasn’t been possible, though, with previous versions of iOS. Thankfully, Apple are changing that, and users who capture HD video content with the rear facing camera can now put them straight on to YouTube and other services, too.

TV Show Rentals

With the new TV show rentals option introduced alongside the new Apple TV, users of the iPhone and iPod Touch on iOS 4.1 can now rent TV shows for just 99 cents per episode.
