Apple Announce WWDC 2010 Dates – iPhone 4G Announcement?

After what seems like forever, Apple finally announced the dates of WWDC 2010 today!
The event will take place from June 7th – 11th, with what appears to be a very iPhone-centric theme. Tagged “The center of the app universe”, the Mac seems to have been left behind this year, with iPhone development well and truly front and centre. Don’t believe me? Just look at the picture!…

I’m personally extremely disappointed that Apple seem to have left desktop users out in the cold, being a daily user of Mac OS X myself (amongst other operating systems of course) and owning several Apple computers including a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini. Still, money matters, and the iPhone platform is as profitable as ever racing ahead of competitors in the smartphone market.
Has Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference turned into Apple’s iPhone Development Conference? Let’s hope not, but it’s certainly beginning to look that way. At least we’ll get to see how ‘final’ the leaked/lost/stolen iPhone 4G prototype was!
Those of you wanting to attend the event can now buy your tickets, which are priced at $1599 (USD). We may have to wait another year for a sneak peak at Mac OS X 10.7, but we could still be surprised – this is Apple we’re talking about after all…
Whatever goes down in June, we’ll cover it all and bring you the latest news and developments from Apple’s keynote.

Well now it’s all out, the leaked prototype was genuine, ios4 has “multitasking”.
The only major question left is whether Apples claim to have fixed the battery issues is true, we’ll have to wait a few more days for that answer
