Air Keyboard – Motion Control Your Computer From The Comfort Of Your Sofa

firebox-air-keyboardIf you’ve ever navigated a computer from your sofa, you’ll know how difficult it can be to get around comfortably. You’ve tried the wireless mouse on your lap trick, the trackpad built in to the wireless keyboard trick, and you’re still yearning for a better choice. Enter the Air Keyboard motion controller.

The Air Keyboard is slightly large than a PSP, and contains a full QWERTY layout keyboard with additional media controls above. The killer feature of this product, however, is the 3D motion sensitive mouse, which allows you to navigate around the screen with your cursor, without having to balance a full sized mouse or use a trackpad on your knee!

It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X, so you don’t need to worry about any driver issues, and the setup is as simple as plugging in the USB dongle, connecting to your keyboard, and navigating your way around the computer without leaving the sofa.

How exactly do you navigate using the Air Keyboard? Well it’s pretty simple really, simply hold it with both hands, and use it like you would a joystick or Wii motion controller to move around with the cursor, except you also have a full QWERTY keyboard also available. There’s also two buttons at the top left and top right of the device that allow for mouse clicks, too, so you don’t have to do any funny motion to open a menu!

It’s powered by two AA batteries, and will maintain an active connection with your computer from 100 feet away, so you don’t have to worry about any issues with being too far away from your machine.

If you want to get yourself an Air Keyboard, or get it for someone else this Christmas, you can grab it for £69.99 over at Firebox.
