Football Manager Live Update
June 22, 2008
I recently wrote a Football Manager Live preview which outlined some of the features of the game and included a couple of videos showing what the current beta version looks and plays like.
More information is now starting to come out in the recent New Game Features#1: The Skills to pay the Bills news update about this massively multiplayer online (MMO) version of Football Manager, this includes some detailed information about how you start the game and what skills and reputation you have….or more accurately it confirms that you lack those at the start of the game and must work your way up from scratch, just as you would in real life!

I recently tried and failed to buy Grand Theft Auto 4 in local stores around the day of release – yeah I know I should pre-ordered it a long time ago, but what can I say, every other GTA game I’ve played has been on the PC, so I’ve never experienced places having no stocks, plus I’m used to waiting at least 6 months anyway!

June 20, 2008
Well what can I say about Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune? Apart from WOW!! Naughty Dog have done it again. Let me give you a ‘walkthrough guide‘ of a review of this game – don’t worry there’s no spoilers!
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune came out last year on Playstation 3 and one of the games that I really wanted to get after playing the demo. The game is made by ‘Naughty Dog’, the geniuses who brought us the ‘Jak and Daxter’ franchise which are still some of the best games that I have ever played.

Do you like hi-tech gadgets? Of course you do, who doesn’t like a good hi-tech gadget? I mean they’re like toys for adults to play with!
I recently met several fellow technology / gadget bloggers at LG’s ‘Secret’ Bloggers’ Event to promote the release of their new ‘Secret’ mobile phone. The event was enjoyable in terms of hearing about and getting to play with LG’s latest mobile phone, we also had the opportunity to talk to the LG people to discuss their products, future directions they may take and the industry in general.

June 18, 2008
It’s finally time to experience the magic of Okami as it was always meant to be played. That is what Capcom are saying with this promotional post which I thought might be of interest.
Okami was a very successful game back in 2006 on the Playstation 2 and received various awards including “Game of the Year” from several magazines and websites. It is now being released for the Nintendo Wii with a vastly changed control system that fully utilises the capabilities of the Wii Remote – you can see the gameplay with this controller in action in the video below.

June 17, 2008
I’ve just watched the new trailer for the new upcoming animated film of Star Wars: Clone Wars which will then be continued in the form of a series on the TV channel Cartoon Network. I love the style of animation and am actually really looking forward to seeing this and think it could repair a bit of the nuclear damage that episode I, II and III have done to the Star Wars franchise.
New Ender Animation!
June 16, 2008
Hi all!
This is the new animation that I’ve been working on. The main reason for me doing this was to practice my lighting skills as I’ve never really done any, and also work on textures and modelling.
The character I used (the ‘generi’ rig) is a free download from a few animation websites, but everything else in this animation is all my work.

June 15, 2008
A first person shooter on the Nintendo DS? My first thoughts were “Small screens + low graphics x no mouse = shockingly bad game”. I should learn to keep my thoughts to myself. After watching some gameplay of Metroid Prime Hunters, I bought this game to check the graphics were as good as they looked. I was astonished at the quality and smoothness this game displays. The environments are a little claustrophobic but the texturing and environment are rich with detail.
‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ Review
June 13, 2008
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (12A)
Cast: Harrison Ford, Ray Winstone, Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, William Hurt, Karen Allen, Jim Broadbent
Director: Steven Spielberg
Running Time: 122 minutes
I’m a big Indiana Jones fan and was in two minds about this film being released. At first I thought that Harrison Ford would be too old to give us a decent action performance, and because of what George Lucas did to Star Wars, I was nervous. But on the other hand, I really wanted to see another Indiana Jones film. But I was surprised by just how good Harrison Ford still is at action films.

June 10, 2008
I recently installed the latest version of the Google Maps download for a mobile phone / Blackberry onto my new HTC Tytn II Windows Mobile handset and have been further impressed by how well this free piece of software works and how useful it actually can be.
I previously had an Orange E650 (a branded HTC S710 Vox handset) which ran Windows Mobile 6 and as such I installed Google Maps on that, however I must admit that I never really used it due to a combination of slow data speeds (it wasn’t a 3G device) and the fact that the data usage charges on my tariff were quite expensive.
