A really well designed and executed game can be a wondrous thing – but what happens to even the best of ideas and game concepts when they’re hampered or even ruined by poor execution?

April 29, 2008
Football Manager Live is coming! Football Manager has always been a great game for any football fan all the way back to it’s original incarnation as Championship Manager. It has always been the game that sets the bar for other manager games to live up to, whether it’s the game engine itself, general game features or innovations such as multiplayer – firstly over a network and now in the era of broadband, we can play against our friends over the Internet.
LG’s ‘Secret’ Bloggers’ Event
April 28, 2008
A couple of weeks ago LG invited me to participate in some of the launch events they had planned for their latest mobile phone handset; the ‘LG Secret’.
On Thursday 24th April (unfortunately I couldn’t attend this event), LG held a press conference to announce the name and other details of the latest in their range of ‘Black Label’ series of mobile phone handsets – until this event, no-one had been told what this new mobile would even be called.

A cheap Nintendo Wii bargain console is something that is now starting to interest many people what with the soaring popularity of the Nintendo Wii’s unique controls, even with people who don’t fit the traditional gamer stereotype.
Lost Season 4
April 24, 2008
Have you watched the first 8 episodes of Lost season 4 so far? Have you missed some? Do you not have access to watch Lost season 4 on your TV? I’ve just found a great way for you to catch up, by watching Lost season 4 online!
You can now also buy the Lost Season 4 DVD boxset here.
The 4th season of ABC’s Lost TV show was originally planned to be shown in it’s 16 episode entirety in one uninterrupted 16 week run, however due to the recent writer’s strike in America, this meant that only 8 episodes got finished before the strike started. This meant that us eager viewers and fans of Lost had to wait until the producers of the show could actually catch up with making the rest of the series (reduced to 14 episodes this year, but seasons 5 and 6 will be 17 episodes in length to compensate for that).
I don’t know about you, but I thought the 5 week break in which we’ve been Lost-free had been quite a long one, especially given that in true Lost style we started getting some answers, only to have lots more questions be thrown at us at the same time! It will be great to watch Lost again.

April 21, 2008
When I saw that you could get a free Virgin SIM card for your existing mobile phone, I thought I’d may as well get one and see what Virgin Mobile is like as a ‘Pay As You Go’ (PAYG) mobile phone network, especially since my current Orange contract expires this week!
When you receive your free Virgin SIM card (with monthly payments starting at £15, but no long contracts) you will then be able to take advantage of the following PAYG tariff:
- Pick up more minutes and texts than you would with a contract
- Keep your phone and number
- No long-term contract – you aren’t tied-in to a lengthy contract
- Plus some neat extras like free voicemail in the UK and free itemised online statements
Jericho Season 3?
April 19, 2008
Jericho season 3 could still rise from the ashes! CBS may have cancelled Jericho for the second time at the end of the 7 episode long season 2, but that doesn’t mean to say that no other networks or distribution deals can be done!
There are various potential Jericho season 3 deals to be made as IGN recently reported, let’s hope that one of these actually works out!

Charity Donations Online
April 16, 2008
Justgiving.com allows you to make charity donations online, a friend of mine has brought to my attention having recently set up an online donation webpage for an upcoming charity event.
Raising money for charity is a great thing to do, however one of the worst aspects for most people will probably be the actual admin involved is actually going around recording all their sponsors’ donations and then after the event then having to chase everyone up again to collect the money – what you need is a way of making charity donations online.
