Zeroes – The Series!

November 30, 2007

Zeroes was something that I’d previously posted about as parody trailers of the brilliant TV show that is Heroes and you can check them out: Heroes or Zeroes? and Heroes or Zeroes? The search continues with open auditions!.

Given that there may only be 11 episodes in the second season of Heroes due to the writer’s strike, these new Zeroes mini episode-like parodies of the Heroes’ chapters are definitely worth checking out! Enjoy!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games – Bloggers’ Event

November 26, 2007

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, this is Sega’s latest game for the Nintendo Wii – what can I say about Mario and Sonic appearing together for the first time in a game? I liked it!

I played it at a recent bloggers’ preview event which was similar in style to the Sega Rally Preview Event that I attended a few months ago, however this time round got to visit Nintendo’s “Wii Flat”, which is as the name suggests, a flat in Central London fully kitted out with Nintendo Wii’s!

Money Listers – Learn How to Make Money Online!

November 23, 2007

Money Listers is a new website from Garry Conn and David Cooley all about making bringing together all the useful bits of information being published on the Internet about making money online, while filtering out about 95% of all the unrelated, off-topic posts, that way you get the ‘wheat’ and none of the ‘chaff’.

Making money online – is this something that you want to do? Well it’s not easy, in fact it’s an extremely hard thing to do successfully, just like in the real world, money will not just be attracted to you like a magnet, it requires a lot of hard work!

Shrooms Video

November 20, 2007

Shrooms has the tagline of “Get ready to get wasted”, this could so easily have been used in so many recent horror/slasher movies in one sense or another, especially given the quality of some of them!

In the case of Shrooms, another bunch of American teenagers go camping in the woods, this time in Ireland. They end up finding mushrooms rather than the Blair Witch! They then get attacked by ghostly creatures, are they hallucinating or truly being attacked in the good old ’slasher-movie’ sense? Take a look at the trailer video below and see what you think.

Ghostbusters 3 Game?

November 17, 2007

Ghostbusters 3 game, a would-be new movie sequel that I personally would love to see as I’ve liked Ghostbusters since I was a kid when I’d watch the movies and the Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. It’s been talked about appearing in one form or another over the years, be it a live action or a CGI movie, however apparently Bill Murray has been less than enthusiastic, whereas Dan Ackroyd has the one who’s really been trying to push for it to happen.

Earlier this year some footage of what was thought to be a Ghostbusters game made by Zootfly was released, however Sony then ordered that all reference to the franchise be removed, presumably because they were already working on a Ghostbusters game title. Now an official game which Dan Ackroyd is involved in (he’s doing motion capture and everything!) has been announced and some footage released, which apparently takes place after the events of the Ghostbusters 2 movie with the team now being more successful with their Ghostbusting business and is essentially Ghostbusters 3!

Good Luck Chuck Girl

November 14, 2007

Good Luck Chuck is one of those movies that you’re completely unaware of until it’s actually been released in the cinemas and you start hearing about it. It’s a comedy about a guy called Chuck who has a curse, when a girl goes out with him, the next guy the girl meets will be her true love – hence the “good luck” part of the title!

As you may have seen by now I’ve been running a video here on the site in the last week for Good Luck Chuck, it wasn’t until I saw this promotional video that I took a look at Good Luck Chuck and saw it had Jessica Alba in – which admittedly was the part that caught my eye and she certainly makes Sin City and the Fantastic Four movies more re-watchable for me, but anyway…moving on!..

Writer’s Strike Delay TV Shows

November 13, 2007

The WGA (Writer’s Guild of America) strike has been going on a while now and the effects are starting to show for us fans of the top American TV Shows and since most shows are now running out of scripts – production is coming to a standstill.

Most of my TV viewing consists of US TV Shows, so with it looking like we’ll definitely end up with episodes being delayed at best – this year could be a barren year for my TV viewing!

So what do the writer’s of (the brilliant) US TV show “The Office” do when they are not writing, but actually on strike, take a look below. I’ve read a few articles about this on news sites, but this certainly puts what’s happening into context with familiar faces from the show!

Half Life in 60 Seconds (Video)

November 11, 2007

Half Life 2 - Gordon FreemanThe Half Life games are great in my opinion! A series of first-person shooter games of high quality gameplay with a real compelling story with you playing as the ’scientist turned hero who doesn’t say much’, Gordon Freeman.

However, what if you haven’t played them and want to start playing the Half Life 2: Episode 1 and 2, what you need a recap along the lines of a “Previously on Half Life…” as you find on TV shows, well now here it is!

Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe on Xbox Live

November 8, 2007

Speedball 2: Brutal DeluxeSpeedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, I sometimes look back on playing the mighty game of Speedball on my Commodore Amiga 500 and think that this was one of the true gaming greats…for me at least!

Everyone has their favourite games that they look back upon and think, ‘wow, that was a good game, now that was a game I was great at playing!’ – there were many others even on the Amiga, but Speedball 2 was one of the major ones for me! I remember playing it against my friends, no-one ever beat me, they gave up playing me in the end – that may well have been the true pinnacle of my gaming success! Well maybe – nostalgia and all that!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Questions?

November 5, 2007

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games‘ is an upcoming Nintendo Wii and DS game developed by Sega, it’s the first time these two historic Sega and Nintendo rivals of Sonic and Mario have been brought together into a single game!

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

Now Mario has been doing pretty well in with his games on the Gamecube and Wii, so it will be interesting to see how he does with Sonic joining him for the ride in what looks like a party style kind of game. There’s some details on the game at the Sega site for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and also in a preview over at Gamespy.

You may have seen my post not so long ago about the Sega Rally Preview and how I went to play-test it at Sega UK HQ, well I’ve now been invited to a special Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games event being put on by Sega in London this Friday 9th November ahead of the UK launch date of the game on 23rd November.
