Lost Season 3 Finale – ‘Through the Looking Glass’
May 27, 2007
The Lost finale of season 3 has now been shown and what an episode ‘Through the Looking Glass’ was!

After two very strong episodes preceding it, I was a little unsure what direction events could take – well the producers have certainly taken the show in a different direction and raised questions as to what the show will revolve around next year.To take a closer look at some of the episode, be sure to go to Lost Screencaps and Easter Eggs: Through the Looking Glass.
The best moments of this double episode has been highlighted here, I’m thinking most of them are pretty accurate, for me, number 1 is definitely right! – Top Ten Moments of the Lost Season 3 Finale.
Lord of the Rings Online Video – Stupid Hobbitsess
May 26, 2007
I’ve recently started playing a new game called Lord of the Rings Online which is an massively multiplayer online game similar to World of Warcraft, but it takes place in Tolkien’s Middle Earth setting.
While reading LotRO Insider over at the Female Gamer website, I saw some a couple of rather interesting videos for Stupid Hobbitsess which like the World of Warcraft videos I’ve posted in the past have been made using the Lord of the Rings Online game. However, in this case the videos would seem to have more of an ongoing narrative than the WoW ones.

May 20, 2007
Over the last few weeks there’s been quite a lot of talk on the Internet about Joost, so in case you haven’t heard about it and tried it yet, I thought I’d just cover the basics of it here.
As you can see from the advert below, Joost combines the best of TV and the Internet. It gives you the ability to watch high quality, full-screen TV shows through your internet connection – I was rather impressed with how good the quality of the picture is when played on my HDTV using a HTPC!
There are no TV schedules to live by, simply load up the Joost application and choose what you want to watch when it’s convenient to you!

May 18, 2007
Another World of Warcraft video here, this time it’s a parody based on the American TV show of ‘COPS’, but these ‘Guards’ think nothing of bending the law!
COPS….errrr…GUARDS…”Filmed on location, with the men and women of law enforcement…”
EDIT: Now that I play World of Warcraft (WoW), I can appreciate this video even more, great stuff!

May 15, 2007
I think you’ll find that PDF Creator free very useful, I’ve found in the past that you end up doing quite a bit of unnecessary printing whilst browsing online whether it’s taking a copy of invoices or order confirmation screens or just temporary pages to work from, I kind of started feeling a bit guilty about this, just because of the waste factor of it all.
I then came across this rather useful alternative, it’s called PDF Creator free and all you need to do is download and install the file found at the link below and will then appear in your Windows list of printers.

When I was a kid I used to have a bunch of Transformers, them and my Lego were my favourite toys. But what about the new Transformers Movie Toys?

The Zath Premiership fantasy football league that has been running for the past nine months in parallel with the English Premier League has now finished with the final games of the season having been played today and the final results can be seen below.
After missing out by quite a margin last year, my team; Zath Rovers has re-taken the title this year! A special mention must go to ‘FTM’, the ‘Supersonics’ and ‘Team Chick’ for making it such a close race all season long!

regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me

PC Wizard 2007 – Computer System Information
May 3, 2007
PC Wizard 2007 is a system information program that I’ve just seen a really useful post about over at Brown Thoughts. PC Wizard 2007 is a piece of software I’ve not come across until now, however, I’ve now had a play around with it and seen that it’s a very useful piece of software for finding out detailed information about your computer system, it can even give you your serial numbers etc.
You’ve always been able to find out quite a bit of information if you go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Unfortunately it isn’t always as detailed as you may require.

May 2, 2007
World of Warcraft has another video, here in the UK we’ve recently had an updated Comic Relief version of the Proclaimer’s classic song ’500 Miles’ with Peter Kay and the Little Britain guys.
Why not take a look at an alternative music video created by some World of Warcraft players? It’s almost worth going 500 miles for…well maybe!

May 2, 2007
A couple of months ago now I mentioned that the Commodore Amiga classic ‘Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe’ was going to get a re-make for the current generation of machines. Well the first details have now emerged over at Eurogamer.
The main points that stood out for me are that they’re having a retro style game mode that mirrors the old game with its simple controls and viewpoint (topdown) while also having a new more challenging for today’s gamers, controllers and machines, including a more 3D view of the arena.

May 1, 2007
RSS explained in steps? What is this RSS subscription thing? Why should I subscribe? What’s in it for you? Right well here’s the explanation in plain English!
After having been blogging here now for around 2 months with that big orange symbol sitting over there on the right hand side of the site, I did think that an explanation was well over due, so here it is:
“It’s essentially a way for you to receive new updates from websites all in one place, much like you receive your emails from all your friends in one place, thus saving you a lot of wasted time from when you regularly visit your favourite sites only to find they haven’t changed since the last time you visited.”
